“I love to watch the world, picking up a pen to scratch out little moments of life that catch my eye. Technical Illustration training has given me a love of the pen but I like to set the pen free, with flourishes of foliage and dynamic characters. The pen is a bold instrument, not lending itself to corrections. The hand draws what it sees with no turning back.
But horses…horses need a larger breadth and width of exploration in colour and technique. Using coloured pencil is a great way to play with colour and details. I used acrylics to paint large canvases where I can play with form and fluidity. Anything to feel the intensity of spirit in on of our most noblest creature.”
